With deep respect for the legacy of Scott’s House founders Glenys Carl and John Bishop, and with great hope for the future, we are pleased to welcome Sarah Boses as our new Executive Director, effective August 17, 2026.
The passing of our founders brought an immeasurable loss to Scott’s House and to the many people whose lives they touched. Glenys and John’s vision, compassion, and commitment to ensuring that no one has to face the end of life alone shaped Scott’s House from its beginning and continue to guide us today. As we move through this transition, we remain steadfast in our commitment to that mission. We also know that honoring their legacy means allowing Scott’s House to grow and evolve in response to the needs of the community we serve.
A native New Mexican and registered nurse, Sarah brings more than 20 years of experience spanning healthcare, operations, community relationships, and organizational leadership. Recently, she served as Practice Director for a growing home care organization, where she led teams, developed systems, and focused on quality, patient-centered non-medical care. Her combination of healthcare experience, operational leadership, and deep commitment to community makes her well suited to build on the strong foundation established by Glenys and John while helping Scott’s House enter its next chapter with new energy, perspective, and vision.
We are grateful for the continued support of our staff, volunteers, board members, donors, funding and community partners, and all those who help make the work of Scott’s House possible. We are especially grateful to Dolores E. Roybal, Scott’s House Board Vice President, who served as Interim Executive Director during this leadership transition, and to our dedicated board for their continued leadership and commitment.
Please join us in welcoming Sarah Boses to Scott’s House as we begin this next chapter of service, compassion, and community.
